Day One

After many hours of traveling we made it here safely.   If you are able to come a day early I would definitely do that. Get you a little better adjusted to the time change.

We have arrived in Bergen. The airport I something that words do not do justice.  It is very small and not the busy airports we are all used to.  You literally walk off the plane and off the jetway and right out the door is passport control.  I got my first stamp of the trip!!!  Then we had a driver meet us at the airport to take us to the hotel.  We got our first glimpse of the beautiful country.  Flying into Bergen, you look out the plane windows and see no roads.  So, how do they get around.  Lots of boats, amazing cars.  Little roads (very narrow) and most people walk. 
 
 












The  city is beautiful. Lots of cobble stone streets and charming buildings.  Lots of boats and

tonight we meet with our fellow adventurers and start our adventure together!

Tomorrow I river rafting and a barbecue.  It is going to be a great day!

Bergen is hosting the Tall Ships race soon.

Almost time!

Packing, I think it is the worst part of any vacation!  Working on packing my bags to leave tomorrow.  I can't believe this Adventure is finally here! 

Tomorrow will be a day of airports and travel.  Saturday is when the fun begins!

Getting Ready

Yesterday, I came home and found a package waiting for me.  It was my travel documents I need for my Adventures by Disney trip to Norway!  I am soooooo excited to go!!!

So, this trip is really going to happen!  It still seems very surreal that I have this AMAZING opportunity! 

 

 

What exactly will I be doing in Norway?  We will be flying into Bergen, Norway.  This is the setting upon which Disney filmmakers were able to create Frozen.  Can't wait!!!   We will also be exploring the fjords with a day of river rafting where we will be able to see waterfalls, lakes, snow capped mountains, forests, etc....  We also get to try our hand at trout fishing!  There will be visits to stave churches, local farms, Briksdal Glacier by "trollcar", some hiking.  I am sure I will be taking TONS of pictures!
